Medicare Advantage is a type of health insurance plan offered by private insurance companies that contract with Medicare. It combines the benefits of Medicare Parts A, B, and usually Part D (prescription drug coverage) into a single plan.

Cash benefits are paid directly to the member to help cover the costs associated with hospital confinement, ambulance trips, skilled nursing stays, or household expenses while hospitalized. Hospital Indemnity Insurance benefits are payable no matter what other medical coverage the member may have.
Hospital stays can have a lot of costs associated that are non-medical and not covered by health insurance. Having the cash benefit can offset some of those costs and greatly reduce the out-of-pocket amount your clients will end up paying for things like transportation, a mortgage, meals for the spouse, lost time at work for the spouse, or prescription drug costs.

These plans bring an affordable pay as you go option for Medicare health insurance. In many circumstances, the low premium is attractive to the potentially insured, and low out-of-pocket cost for services help to push this product’s popularity. In addition to low out-of-pocket expenses, the plans typically offer additional benefits Original Medicare does not cover.
Medicare Advantage premiums are typically significantly less expensive than alternative choices, such as Medicare Supplement Plans, which makes them appealing to prospective customers.
The insurance offered is extensive, ensuring that your clients can feel secure knowing they have a policy tailored to meet their specific requirements.
In contrast to Medicare Supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans may include prescription drug coverage as part of the plan.

When can I start marketing the plans to my customers?
The Annual Enrollment Marketing Period starts on October 1st. AEP goes from October 15th through December 7th.
